Mercury dimes were made from 1916 – 1945 with the exception of the 1922, 1932, and 1933 years. Most Mercury Dimes do have have good strikes and sharpness in the details. On the reverse there are bands the hold the Fasces. There are to be two bands clearly visible on each of the three bands. Most Mercury dimes do not show the lines across these bands. A coin can be designated as Full Bands if the lines are complete and clearly visible. Full Bands or FB Mercury Dimes have a significate price premium for being an excellent sharp coin. The premium Mercury Dime Value could be as much as 10 to 100 times more valuable compared to a common weak struck coin for the same year.
